The Family Business Network is an organization that provides a "place for exchange and learning" for those involved in family business.

Thank you for your interest in the 33rd FBN Global Summit, scheduled for this fall.

Since last year, various preparations for the Summit have been underway under the leadership of Rie Yamada, Chairperson of the Executive Committee.

Currently, we are working on the keynote speeches for the summit, speakers for the breakout sessions, companies that will host the Family Visit, and preparations for social events such as the gala party. In addition, the Learning Journeys (excursions to visit family businesses) will be held in seven locations, adding Maebashi and Shizuoka to the original five locations (Hiroshima, Nagoya, Kamakura & Ginza, Chiba (Narita), and Niigata), and the detailed design of the trips is underway with the host families in each location.

Registration for the summit in Japan opened at the end of February, and was immediately flooded with applications. There was even an unusual situation where some of the servers were down. The long line of waitlisted participants continued to grow, and in response to requests from FBN members who wanted to attend the summit, the number of seats was increased to 750, with some still waiting. The Learning Journey sold out in less than three hours after registration began, and two more locations were added.

We would like to invite all host families of Learning Journey, host families of Family Visit, speakers, and sponsors to gather and deepen exchanges to ensure the success of the summit, which is highly anticipated from around the world.

FBN International President Farhad Forbes and CEO Alexis du Roy will also be in Japan to address the audience. The event will be held at the salon of Shiseido Parlor, courtesy of Kazuto Fukuhara, a member of FBN Japan who is in charge of the Family Visit.

We are planning to have a few remarks from each of you on the day of the event.
