【Fin】4th FBNJ Collaboration Workshop Information 2024
Announcement of Collaboration Project Workshop
Thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation in the activities of FBN Japan.
Now, for the first time in many years, we will be participating online in this workshop in collaboration with the 100-Year Management Research Organization (Representative Director, Dr. Toshio Goto).
The speaker will be Mr. Takahiro Nagayama, President of Nagayama Honke Sake Brewery, a long-lived company in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Nagayama Honke Brewery was founded in 1888 by Kibataro Nagayama, the first generation of the Nagayama family.
The brewery was founded in the area of Futamataze, Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, where the brewery is still located today, and at the time there were four breweries in the neighborhood. From the time of the second generation, the brewery began to be involved in local development and festivals, and the third generation contributed to the renovation of an elementary school.
After studying abroad, the current head of the family, Takahiro Nagayama, joined the company in 2001 and learned about rice and wine grapes at the brewing research institute.
In addition to brewing sake as a toji (master brewer), Mr. Nagayama has also established an agricultural corporation to produce Yamadanishiki together with surrounding farmers, and is challenging to give shape to the original form of sake by brewing rice grown in local rice paddies by a local brewery.
In this workshop, we will hear about their thoughts on product development and their relationship with the local community.
We look forward to your participation.
